RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky will host Lipscomb in a key ASUN Conference series this weekend. The two teams enter the weekend separated by just two games in the league standings.
Friday's game is presented by Chick-fil-A and will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday's game will also begin at 6 p.m. The series finale is set for Sunday at 1 p.m.
Fans can pick up the final exclusive EKU trading cards pack at Friday's game, which is sponsored by Chick-Fil-A. Concessions will be serving Walking Tacos while supplies last and $2 beer specials Friday and Saturday. EKU Athletics marketing will be giving away a game used baseball jersey Friday and Saturday evening at both games. Saturday will be 80's Night with the best songs of the 1980's. Fans born in the 1980s will receive FREE admission. Sunday will be Senior Day and Kids Day. All kids 12 and under will receive FREE admission and get to run the bases after the game.

THE COLONELS
- EKU is 32-15 overall and 17-7 in the ASUN Conference, holding a one game lead over Central Arkansas for first in the ASUN West Division.
- The Colonels are riding a five-game winning streak, and have won 10 of their last 12 after a series sweep of Jacksonville State last weekend.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Lipscomb is 29-19 overall and 15-9 in ASUN play. The Bisons have won two straight league series over Central Arkansas and Bellarmine. On Tuesday, Lipscomb beat Belmont, a team ranked 69th in the RPI, by a score of 3-2.
- Center fielder Maddux Houghton went 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs against Belmont.
- Malik Williams has a team-high .366 average and 53 RBIs. Houghton is batting .308 with a team-best 43 runs. Trace Willhoite has a team-high 11 home runs and is hitting .238.
- The Bisons are third in the ASUN this season with 54 home runs and are second with 83 stolen bases.
- Lipscomb has stolen 83 bases in 103 attempts. Three players have 16 or more steals – Caleb Ketchup (26), Houghton (19) and John Shields (16).
- Michael Dunkelberger, who is 7-2 with a 2.59 ERA, is scheduled to start on Friday night. The sophomore lefty has struck out 52 and allowed 56 hits in 62 and two-thirds innings. Saturday's starter will be Collin Witzke, a sophomore right-hander who is 3-2 with a 4.41 ERA. Ike Buxton, a redshirt sophomore right-hander, will get the ball for the series finale. He is 5-3 with a 4.11 ERA. In 61 and one-third innings on the mound, Buxton has struck out 53 and walked 30.
