CONWAY, Ark. – Eastern Kentucky closes out the regular season at Central Arkansas with an ASUN Conference Tournament bid and West Division Championship on the line.

The 3-game series will begin on Thursday at 7 p.m. Game two is set for 7 p.m. on Friday. The series finale will be Saturday at 2 p.m. The final two games of the series will air live on ESPN+.

The Colonels enter the weekend leading the West by one game over Central Arkansas and Lipscomb. Jacksonville State is two games back. The top three teams from each ASUN division will qualify automatically for the league tournament next week in Fort Myers, Florida. The remaining two spots in the eight-team field will be granted to the two remaining teams with the highest NCAA RPI, regardless of division.

INSIDE THE SERIES
-  Central Arkansas leads the all-time series 2-1 with all three games being played earlier this season in Richmond. The Colonels averaged 8.3 runs per game in the series.

Roderick Criss II hit .462 with two doubles, a home run, three runs and two RBIs in the first series.Â
Will King had three home runs, six RBIs and five runs scored while hitting .462 for the series.Â

THE COLONELS
- EKU is 33-18 overall and 18-9 in the ASUN Conference. After sweeping Jacksonville State two weekends ago, the Colonels lost two of three to Lipscomb this past weekend and fell at No. 7 Louisville on Tuesday.
-  In the ASUN Conference Preseason Poll, Eastern Kentucky was picked to place eighth overall in the conference. The Colonels enter the final weekend of the season tied for the best record in the ASUN.

Rian Yates is scheduled to start game one of the series. The righty is 0-2 with a 3.96 ERA. Brown (5-3), a sophomore right-hander, will take the mound for game two. He held Lipscomb to two runs on six hits in six and two-thirds innings in his last start. The game three starter had not been determined.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-Â Central Arkansas is 23-27 overall and 17-10 in league games. Â UCA lost two of three at Jacksonville State last weekend and then suffered a 9-6 midweek loss to Little Rock on Tuesday.

- Â First baseman Hunter Hicks has driven in a team-high 53 runs and leads the team with a .342 average and 11 home runs.

- Â Left fielder Connor Emmet is hitting .307 with 38 runs, 10 home runs and 36 RBIs.

-  Trent Gregson has made 20 appearances and is tied for the team lead with four saves. He is 5-3 with a 4.25 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 53 innings.

-  Tyler Cleveland will start game one for the Bears. The sophomore righty is 7-2 with a 3.07 ERA over 88 innings. He has struck out 91 and walked only 15. Jesse Barker will toe the rubber for game two. The sophomore right-hander is 2-6 with a 5.18 ERA. The game three starter has not been determined.
