LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The EKU women's tennis team (1-2) plays against in-state foe Louisville (2-0) at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 5:00 p.m.
"Our women are putting in the work and improving every day. Louisville is one of the best teams we have on our schedule and it's going to be a great match," head coach
Adam Cohen said.
THE COLONELS
- The Colonels enter the match with a 1-2 record, beating Campbellsville 4-3 and most recently falling to WKU, 7-0.
- Sasha Parkhomenko is 2-1 in singles play this season, as she earned singles wins against NKU and Campbellsville from the No. 4 position.
- Elena Tairian has claimed the No. 1 singles spot for the Maroon and White, posting a singles record of 2-1 in 2023.
SCOUTING LOUISVILLE
- Louisville enters the match with a 2-0 record, beating Northern Illinois, 4-3, and ASUN foe Bellarmine, 4-1. The Cardinals compete against Ball State on Saturday afternoon before facing EKU.
- Last year, Louisville posted an 8-15 record and was winless in conference play.
