CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The EKU women's tennis team (1-5) travels to Chattanooga for two matches against UT Chattanooga (3-1) on Friday, Feb. 10 at 9:00 a.m. and Presbyterian (2-4) on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 3:00 p.m.
"We can feel everything coming together. This may be the week we start to see the results we are looking for," head coach
Adam Cohen said.
THE COLONELS
- The Colonels enter the first match with a 1-5 record as they look to bounce back from tough losses against Dayton and NKU last weekend.
- The Maroon and White earned their first doubles point of the season against the Norse, winning from the No. 1 and No. 3 courts.
- Masha Fedenko made her EKU debut last week, boasting a 2-0 singles record from the No. 1 spot. Fedenko won her first career collegiate doubles match against NKU with Daniela Hernandez from the No. 1 position, 6-3.
- Emmeline Polevoi won both of her singles matches against Dayton and NKU last week from the No. 4 spot.
SCOUTING UT CHATTANOOGA
- UT Chattanooga enters the match with a 3-1 record, most recently falling to Middle Tennessee, 4-3.
- The Mocs are led by Jessie Young and Caroline Gibbens this season in singles play, posting a 3-1 record from the No. 2 and No. 3 courts.
- Coco Bosman is undefeated in doubles play, earning a 4-0 record from the No. 3 position.
SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN
- Presbyterian enters the matchup with a 2-4 mark as they lost against the College of Charleston 6-1 on Feb. 1. The Blue Hose competes against UNC Wilmington on Thursday before facing EKU.
- McKenzie Davis leads the Blue Hose this season in singles, posting a 4-1 record from the No. 3 spot. Davis also boasts a 3-2 record in doubles play, competing in the No. 2 and No. 3 courts.
