Women’s Tennis Continues ASUN Schedule With A Home Match Against Jacksonville State

RICHMOND, Ky. – The EKU women's tennis team (4-10, 0-1 ASUN) continues conference play against Jacksonville State (11-3, 1-0 ASUN) on Friday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
 
THE COLONELS
  • The Maroon and White enter the match with a 4-10 mark, as they look to bounce back from a 5-2 loss against Lipscomb.
  • Masha Fedenko leads the Colonels in singles, boasting a 7-3 record from the No. 1 spot. She has won three consecutive singles matches, including a win against Lipscomb's Sasha Dobranos, 7-6 (7-4), 2-6, 6-4.
  • Sasha Parkhomenko won her singles match in straight sets against Lipscomb from the No. 3 position, 6-3, 7-5.
  • Fedenko and Daniela Hernandez are the leading pair for EKU, posting a 3-2 record.
  • The Colonels own a 10-2 all-time record against Jacksonville State, and they are on a six-match winning streak against the Gamecocks.
 
SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE STATE
  • Jacksonville State enters the matchup with an 11-3 record, most recently beating Central Arkansas, 5-2, on March 12.
  • The Gamecocks are led by Romane Mosse in singles, posting a 9-4 record from the top two spots in the lineup, including a 4-0 record from the No. 1 court.
  • Anna Syrova leads JSU in doubles play, boasting a 13-1 mark from all three spots in the lineup.
