RICHMOND, Ky. – In the midst of a six-game road stretch, Eastern Kentucky University will head to Charlotte this weekend for a three-game ASUN Conference series at Queens.

The Colonels picked up road wins at Northern Kentucky and Morehead State to begin the stretch of a half dozen away from Richmond.

Friday's series opener is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start. Saturday's game two will begin at 3 p.m. The series finale is set for Sunday at 1 p.m.

THE COLONELS
- EKU is 22-24 overall and 10-11 in league games. The Colonels are tied with three other teams for seventh place in the ASUN. With two midweek road wins, EKU (177) has raised its RPI by 30 spots.

-  EKU is now third in the ASUN and 40th in the nation with 69 home runs this season. The Colonels have hit at least one home run in seven straight games and have hit 33 in their last 17 games. EKU belted four dingers on Wednesday at Morehead State.

Miguel Larreal is fourth in the ASUN with a .377 batting average In his last 14 games, Larreal is batting .423 with 22 runs, three doubles, three home runs and 15 RBIs. He is getting on base at a .559 clip.

-Â Junior newcomer
Joe Clancy hasn't allowed a run in his last six appearances. In six innings over that span, he has allowed just one hit, struck out five and walked three.

-Â Coming off back-to-back quality starts,
Isaac Milburn will make the start on Friday. He is 3-3 with a 6.06 ERA. The sophomore left-hander is 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA and 18 strikeouts in his last two starts, covering 12 and two-thirds innings. He has held opponents to a .167 batting average during that time.Â
Luke Reed, a junior righty, will get the ball for game two. He is 1-2 with a 5.56 ERA. Senior
Michael Schuler is set to start on Sunday. The right-hander is 2-1 with a 7.07 ERA, but has a 1.80 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 15 innings over his last three appearances.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-Â Queens is 12-32 overall and 6-15 in ASUN Conference games, but the Royals went on the road and swept North Florida last weekend.

-  First baseman Riley Cheek leads the team in batting average (.355), runs (42), doubles (18), home runs (9), RBIs (34) and stolen bases (9). He has 29 walks and a .462 on-base percentage.

-  As a team, Queens is hitting .267. The Royals' opponents are batting .336 with 61 home runs and 56 stolen bases in 44 games.

-  Freshman righty Brandon Dahlman has been the most used arm out of the bullpen, appearing in 22 games. He is 4-1 with a 9.78 ERA, having allowed 25 runs and 25 walks in 23 innings.
-  Kei Yamagishi will start the opener for Queens. The senior right-hander is 0-4 with a 9.14 ERA. Jeffery Maidof is scheduled to get the ball for game two. The senior righty is 2-4 with a 6.28 ERA, and has only walked 14 in 61 and two-thirds innings of work. He is coming off a complete game seven-hitter at North Florida last weekend, allowing two runs and only one walk. Zach Kelly, a right-handed grad student who is 1-6 with a 9.08 ERA, will start the finale.
