RICHMOND, Ky. – Former Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball player
Antwainette Walker becomes the 13th Colonel since 2008 to sign a professional basketball contract overseas. She is set to join BK Gotizont Minsk in the Belarusian Premier League, announced by her agent on Wednesday afternoon.
BK Gorizont Minsk is a professional women's basketball club based in Minsk, Belarus. The team was founded in 2010 and have since won the Belarusian League championship six times and were national champions during the 2015 season.

Walker capped an incredible seven-year collegiate career last season with the Colonels, leading the program to its first national postseason tournament since 2013 and first 20-win season since 2005. EKU would appear in its first Atlantic Sun Conference semifinals as a member of the league.
In Walker's two seasons with EKU, she amassed 1,160 points and neared 500 rebounds in just 59 games – becoming the 25th member of the Colonels' 1,000 point club. She had 29 games with 20 or more points and scored 30 or more points in two different games. The Lisle, Illinois product was a named the 2023 ASUN Conference Newcomer of the Year, a two-time First Team All-ASUN selection, and six-time ASUN Weekly Award recipient.
During the 2022-23 season, Walker established herself as one of the most prominent players in program history. She was a finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award by the National Basketball Hall of Fame and was hand-picked by Dawn Staley for the Dawn Staley Award, both recognizing the top guards across NCAA women's basketball.
She was also named the Kentucky Women's Basketball Player of the Year by the Lexington Herald-Leader and was given Mid-Major Honorable Mention All-America by World Exposure Report. Walker averaged 21.0 points per game during the 2022-23 season and averaged 18.3 points per game in 2023-24.
She had a career-best 38 points in a road win over Evansville on Nov. 15, 2023. The following week, she capped her week by scoring 49 points across two games in the 2023 Great Alaska Shootout against UAB and the No. 4-ranked Utah Utes. She was named to the NCAA Women's March Madness Starting 5 of the Week on Nov. 20, 2023 after the performances.
Walker reported to BK Gorizont Minsk last week and will wear No. 33, joining the team in just their eighth game of the 2024-25 season. She scored seven points in her professional debut and went 5-for-6 (.833) from the free throw line.
Prior to EKU, Walker played three seasons at Marquette from 2019-22 and spent one season at Little Rock in 2018-19.
