INSIDE THE SERIES
-  The Cardinals lead the all-time series 68-41.  The Colonels are 15-49 in games played in Louisville.  UofL has won two straight in the series, including an 11-0 decision last season.

-  In last year's game, EKU fell to then No. 4 ranked Louisville on Feb. 28, 2023 in Louisville.  The Cardinals got a solo home run from Patrick Forbes in the second inning.  A three-run dinger off the bat of Jack Payton in the third made it 4-0.  Forbes hit a second homer, this time a two-run shot, in the fourth to push the home team out in front 6-0.  Three players – Charlie Ludwick, Miguel Larreal and Jalen Jones – had one hit each for the Colonels.  Forbes finished 2-for-2 with a walk, three runs and three RBIs.
