EKU Women’s Tennis Plays Final Match Of The Home Stand Against Queens

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team (8-11, 1-1 ASUN) plays its final match of the home stand against Queens (0-14, 0-3 ASUN) on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Tom Higgins Outdoor Courts.
 
Fans can get free pizza at the match.
 
THE COLONELS
EKU enters the match with an 8-11 record, beating Bellarmine by a score of 5-2 on March 17.
 
The Maroon and White are led by Masha Fedenko in singles play, who has a team-high 10 wins from the No. 1 position, and she earned the ASUN Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Jan. 17. Emmeline Polevoi is tied with Fedenko with 10 singles wins this season. Marilou Cote has nine wins in singles play.
 
The Colonels earned the doubles point against Bellarmine, as Cote and Polevoi won from the No. 1 court, 6-4, and Fedenko and Zhansaya Bakytzhan won their match from the No. 2 spot, 6-2. Cote leads the team with 10 wins in doubles play.
           
SCOUTING QUEENS
Queens enters the contest with a 0-14 mark, falling to Austin Peay by a score of 6-1 on March 17. The Royals are led by Katsiaryna Tuliakova in singles, posting an 8-5 record from the No. 1 court. This is the first matchup in the all-time series between EKU and Queens.
