FLORENCE, Ala. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team (9-12, 2-2 ASUN) looks to bounce back on the road against North Alabama (9-6, 0-4 ASUN) on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. ET at the UNA Tennis Courts.
 
THE COLONELS
EKU enters the match with a 9-12 record, falling to Central Arkansas by a score of 5-2 on March 22. The Colonels beat Bellarmine and Queens in Atlantic Sun Conference play so far this season.
 
The Maroon and White are led by Emmeline Polevoi in singles play, who has a team-high 12 wins from several spots in the lineup. Marilou Cote has 11 wins in singles play from the No. 2 and 3 courts. Masha Fedenko has 10 singles wins from the No. 1 position, and she earned the ASUN Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Jan. 17. Cote and Polevoi won their singles matches against Central Arkansas.
 
Cote leads EKU in doubles, posting a team-high 10 wins from all three spots in the lineup. The Colonels earned the doubles point in their two ASUN wins against Bellarmine and Queens.
 
SCOUTING NORTH ALABAMA
North Alabama enters the contest with a 9-6 mark, falling to North Florida by a score of 4-3 on March 24. The Lions are led by Emma Ansorge in singles play, posting a 7-4 record from several spots in the lineup. Ada Karabacak leads North Alabama in doubles, boasting a 10-0 record. The Lions have a 24-8 mark in doubles play this season. EKU won the only matchup in the all-time series against North Alabama, beating the Lions by a score of 5-1 in 1998.
