NASHVILLE – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team (9-13, 2-3 ASUN) continues its road trip with a match against Lipscomb (10-5, 2-3 ASUN) on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. ET at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center.
 
THE COLONELS
EKU enters the match with a 9-13 record, falling to North Alabama by a score of 6-1 on March 28. The Colonels beat Bellarmine and Queens in Atlantic Sun Conference play so far this season.
 
The Maroon and White are led by 
Emmeline Polevoi in singles play, who has a team-high 12 wins from several spots in the lineup. 
Marilou Cote has 11 wins in singles play from the No. 2 and 3 courts. 
Masha Fedenko has 10 singles wins from the No. 1 position, and she earned the ASUN Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Jan. 17. 
Zhansaya Bakytzhan won her singles match from the No. 6 position against North Alabama.
 
Cote leads EKU in doubles, posting a team-high 10 wins from all three spots in the lineup. The Colonels earned the doubles point in their two ASUN wins against Bellarmine and Queens.
 
SCOUTING LIPSCOMB
Lipscomb enters the contest with a 10-5 mark, sweeping Queens by a score of 7-0 on March 28. The Bisons beat FGCU and Queens in ASUN Conference play so far this season. Lipscomb is led by Sofiia Paladi in singles play, boasting a 14-1 record from the No. 2 and 3 courts. Four Lipscomb players are tied for a team-high eight doubles wins. The Bisons won against the Colonels by a score of 5-2 in 2023, as the all-time series is tied 1-1.
