Colonels Host Rick Erdmann Twilight On Saturday

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University track and field teams will host the Rick Erdmann Twilight on Saturday at the Tom Samuels Track. Field events will begin at 1:00 p.m. while running events will start at 3:00 p.m.
 
Fans attending the meet can get a free Rick Erdmann Twilight poster. Tickets are available for $5 here.
 
EKU will honor 17 seniors at the Senior Day ceremony at 8:00 p.m., including Maria Cano, Katy Chapman, Sohmer Davis, Tarshana Kimbrough, Sydney Little Light, Saskia Pingpank, Joy Scott, Anouk van Gils, Hakim Abouzouhir, Samuel Carter, Nikodem Dworczak, Pedro Garcia-Palencia, Enock Kipchumba, Nicodemus Rotich, Jackson Siddall, Joan Tapias, and John Ukomadu.
 
Senda Garma crushed the school record for the hammer throw at the EKU Spring Meet, throwing 55.35m, ranking No. 1 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
 
Samuel Carter holds the No. 3 spot in the ASUN for the triple jump, leaping 14.58m to finish fourth at the Tennessee Invite.
 
Cooper Brummett posted a personal-best discus throw of 44.95m at the Kennesaw State Invitational, which ranks No. 5 in the ASUN.
 
Ahmed Kadri (1:49.55) and Jan Badia (1:50.25) hold the top two spots in the ASUN for the 800 meters. Badia also leads the conference in the 1,500 meters, setting a personal-best time of 3:41.89 at the Wake Forest Invitational. His time ranks No. 51 in the East Region and is the second-best in school history. Badia earned the ASUN Men's Track Performer of the Week for his performance.
 
Sydney Little Light leads EKU in the 1,500 meters, recording a personal-best time of 4:21.53 to finish second at the Jim Green Invitational. Her time ranks No. 2 in the ASUN and it is the fifth-best in program history. Maria Cano holds the No. 5 spot for the 1,500 meters, posting a college-best time of 4:26.27 at the Jim Green Invitational. Bahiya El Arfaoui earned the ASUN Women's Freshman of the Week for her performance at the Jim Green Invitational, clocking a college-best 1,500-meter time of 4:26.37. Her time is the fastest among all freshmen in the ASUN.
