MOREHEAD, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University will play its final non-conference baseball game of the regular season on Tuesday at Morehead State.
 
The game has been moved up to 12 p.m., and will air live on ESPN+.
 
THE COLONELS
-  EKU (18-34, 12-15 ASUN) won one of its three games at Florida Gulf Coast over the weekend.  The Eagles are tied for second in the league.
 
-  In his last nine games, second baseman Justin Carinci his hitting .389 with 12 runs, four doubles and four RBIs.  He has a .452 on-base percentage and three stolen bases during that time.
 
-  In his last five appearances, Joe Clancy has three wins and hasn't allowed a run in 8 2/3 innings.  He has allowed just three hits, one walk and has struck out 10.


-  Miguel Larreal is tied for eighth in the Atlantic Sun Conference with 35 walks.
 
-  Jack Waters will make his fourth start of the season on the mound for the Colonels.  The redshirt sophomore right-hander is 0-0 with a 6.00 era across 12 appearances.  In 24 innings he has struck out 23 and walked only seven.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Morehead State stands at 30-21 overall and 14-10 in the Ohio Valley Conference.  The Eagles won two of three against Eastern Illinois at home this past weekend.
 
-  Center fielder Ryley Preece leads the team in batting average (.362) and runs scored (79).  He also has 19 home runs and 57 RBIs.
 
-  First baseman Roman Kuntz leads the Eagles with 28 home runs and 83 RBIs while batting .355 on the season.  He ranks second in the nation in home runs and RBIs.
 
-  Will Grimmett leads the team with three saves, having made 18 appearances out of the bullpen.  The right-handed junior is 2-3 with a 3.33 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 27 innings.

-  Bradley Poynter is scheduled to start on the mound.  The freshman right-hander is 3-2 this season with a 7.43 ERA in nine appearances.  Poynter has walked 15 and struck out 14 in 23 innings.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  EKU is 143-121-1 all-time against Morehead State and has won five of the last six meetings.  The Eagles are 70-57 in games played in Morehead.
 
-  In the most recent meeting, earlier this season on March 19 in Richmond, the Colonels grabbed an early 1-0 lead and scored in each of the first five innings, but a 7-run second propelled Morehead State to a 14-7 win.  Ron Franklin Jr. was 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI.  Preece finished 3-for-5 with two runs and six RBIs for the Eagles.
