RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis program looks to continue its three-match winning streak on Friday facing Lindsey Wilson College at home and Marshall on the road.
EKU (3-2) will open Friday's slate of matches at 9 a.m. ET at the Greg Adams Tennis Center against LWC. The team will then immediately hit the road for a match in Huntington, West Virginia against Marshall at 4 p.m.

Entering play on Friday, the Colonels have won their last three contests against Northern Kentucky, UNC Greensboro, and Cumberlands. Like the team, junior
Marilou Cote is on a three-match winning streak from court Nos. 2 and 3 in singles and has won her last two on court No. 2 in doubles.
Additionally, the doubles pairing of
Masha Fedenko and
Anastasiia Cherniakova are 2-1 this season from the Colonels' top court and enter play against LWC/Marshall winners of their last two sets.
Scouting Lindsey Wilson College
Lindsey Wilson will open their 2024-25 season on Friday morning as the No. 4-ranked NAIA team in the country via the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Blue Raiders are coming off a 20-3 record last year where they captured the Mid-South Conference Championship and appeared in the NAIA National Tournament, advancing to the semifinals round.
Scouting Marshall
Marshall (2-0) returns to Huntington for its home opener after defeating Cleveland State and Youngstown State by 4-3 scores last week. Freshman Alina Mokrynskaya and senior Sophia Hurrion lead the team with 2-0 singles record from court Nos. 3 and 4. Marshall is undefeated in doubles play through two matches this year.
