LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team will take its talents to the national stage Wednesday, facing No. 16 Louisville inside the KFC Yum! Center.
Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. ET on the ACC Network. Coverage will begin around 6:02 p.m., with Dorian Craft handling play-by-play and Layshia Clarendon serving as analyst. The game marks EKU's first nationally televised game since 2021.

EKU (7-3) enters Wednesday's game on a two-game losing streak, dropping contests last week to Arizona (87-83) and Marshall (75-50).
Against Marshall, the Colonels were held scoreless in the fourth quarter despite 30 minutes of close action and three players scoring in double figures: senior guard
Ndidiamaka Ndukwe (15 points), sophomore guard
Liz Freihofer (10), and freshman guard
Kenleigh Woods (10).
Woods recently earned her second Atlantic Sun Conference Freshman of the Week award on Monday, Dec. 15 after averaging 10.5 points last week, including a late 3-pointer at Arizona that brought EKU within one possession on the road against its Big 12 Conference opponent.
Freihofer leads the Colonels this season with 15.1 points per game and has reached double figures in all 10 games. She also leads the ASUN in made 3-pointers (26) and ranks 57th nationally in 3-point percentage.
Senior forward
Joseana Vaz has also been key, scoring in double figures in five of her last six games, including three double-doubles. Last week, she recorded 24 points and 12 rebounds against Arizona and posted a 25.5 stat rating, the third best in all of NCAA women's basketball on Dec. 10.
Wednesday's matchup marks EKU's 43rd all-time game against an AP Top 25 opponent. The Colonels are seeking their first win against a ranked team.
Scouting Louisville
No. 16 Louisville (10-3, 2-0 ACC) comes off a 76-66 overtime win against No. 12 North Carolina, which moved the team up six spots in the AP Poll. The Cardinals, coached by Jeff Walz in his 19th season, have faced a challenging schedule, including four games against ranked opponents, losing to No. 1 Connecticut (79-66), No. 20 Kentucky (72-62), and No. 3 South Carolina (79-77).
Louisville is led by sophomore guard Tajianna Roberts, averaging 13.1 points and 2.7 assists per game. The San Diego native has scored in double figures in four of her last five games, including three 20-point performances against Northern Kentucky, Kentucky, and South Carolina.
Series History
EKU and Louisville will meet for the 35th time Wednesday. Louisville leads the all-time series 21-13 and has won the last seven consecutive meetings since 1992. The Colonels last defeated the Cardinals on Dec. 15, 1990, in Richmond, 71-68.
