CARROLLTON, Ga. – After a schedule change, the Eastern Kentucky University baseball team will now play three non-conference games against the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia this weekend.

The series will begin on Friday at 5 p.m. ET. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 12:30 p.m. ET.

THE COLONELS
-Â EKU is 0-8 after falling at Western Kentucky on Tuesday.

Julius Scearce has hit a home run in each of the past three games, the final two games of a series at Ole Miss and the contest against the Hilltoppers on Tuesday. He is batting .320 with six RBIs and three runs scored this season.

Diego Alana leads the team with a .333 batting average. He also has a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored.

Wyatt Foley has made two appearances out of the bullpen and has pitched to a 3.38 ERA over eight innings of work. He has walked two and struck out seven.

Ryker Walton, a senior right-hander, will start the first game of the weekend. He is 0-2 with a 2.08 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings. Newcomer
Bradley Gagen, a redshirt sophomore lefty, is scheduled to get the ball for the second game. He is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA. The starter for game three has not been determined.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- West Georgia is off to a 4-3 start to the season. The Wolves won series against New Orleans and Ohio before dropping a midweek contest at Georgia Tech on Wednesday.

-  Cooper Prince, a senior outfielder, leads the team with a .520 batting average and 10 runs scored. Junior first baseman Carter Dierdorf is hitting .379 with a team-best four home runs and 14 RBIs.
