RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's 8-game home stand continues on Tuesday and Wednesday when regional rivals Marshall and Western Kentucky visit Richmond for a pair of midweek baseball games.
Both games will begin at 6 p.m. and air live on ESPN+.
Marshall's visit to Earle Combs Stadium on Tuesday will be $2 Day. Tickets, popcorn and beer are just $2. It will also be Family Game Night with interactive games and fun. Wednesday's game against WKU is also $2 Day and Fan Appreciation Day. There will be nine innings of winnings with a prize drawing for fans each inning.
THE COLONELS
- EKU (2-17, 2-1 ASUN) has won two in a row and took a series victory over Bellarmine to start Atlantic Sun Conference play.
- In two games against Bellarmine,
Wyatt Foley pitched a total of 5.0 innings without allowing a run, gave up just two hits and limited opponents to a .143 batting average. He walked three and struck out two while earning two wins.

Silas Shaffer swung a hot bat in the series clinching win over Bellarmine. The sophomore catcher finished 3-for-4 with a run and four RBIs.

Julius Scearce is hitting .313 with two runs, two doubles, a home run and three RBIs. He has a .750 slugging percentage over that time.

Elijah Underhill will start on the mound for the Colonels against Marshall. The right-hander is 0-3 with 10 strikeouts in 9 1/3 innings this season. Wednesday's starter has not been determined.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Marshall is 11-9 overall and 1-2 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Thundering Herd had a 9-game winning streak earlier this season that included a victory at Georgia Tech and a 3-game sweep of Bradley.
- Eddie Leon leads the team with a .329 batting average, is second on the team with four home runs and third with 16 RBIs. Luke Proehl will start on the mound for Marshall. The sophomore righty is 0-0 with a 3.52 ERA and eight strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings.
- Western Kentucky is 19-1 overall and has won 14 straight. The Hilltoppers are coming off a 3-game sweep of Tennessee-Martin.
- Ryan Wideman leads WKU with a .459 batting average, 10 doubles, four home runs and 26 RBIs. Camden Ross and Thomas Marsala are both batting .400 on the season.
