DELAND, Fla. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis program departs for three Atlantic Sun Conference matches in Florida this weekend from March 21-23.
The Colonels will open the Sunshine State trip with a true road match on Friday against Stetson starting at 10 a.m. ET. EKU will then head to Orlando for a neutral site battle with Queens on Saturday at 9 a.m. The road swing ends on Sunday with a 10 a.m. true road match at FGCU.

EKU (7-13, 0-1 ASUN) was defeated by North Florida, 4-2, last Sunday to open ASUN Conference play. The Colonels won the doubles point with a 7-6 thriller on the top flight and a decisive 6-0 win on flight two.
In singles, only needing three points, EKU had one singles victory on the five finished courts for the loss. Junior
Marilou Cote will enter the weekend trip 1-0 in league play after taking down UNF's Nicole Alfaro Solis in straight sets. She leads the team with a 9-8 overall record in singles play.
Additionally, sophomore
Izem Elif Olcer is 6-5 in singles play this year primarily playing on the Colonels' last three courts. She has won three of her last four finished matches over her counterparts from Belmont, Murray State, and Southern Indiana.
