RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis program will play two matches on Friday, welcoming the Connecticut Huskies to the Greg Adams Tennis Center in the morning and ending the day on the road at Southern Indiana.
Friday's match against UConn will start at 9 a.m. ET, all EKU tennis matches are free and open to the public. The road contest at Southern Indiana is tentatively scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
EKU (6-9) enters Friday's matchups on a two-game winning streak against Georgetown College and Belmont, outscoring its opponents 11-3 in the stretch.
Last match in the 4-3 win over Belmont, the Colonels won the doubles point and had singles victories from
Marilou Cote,
Ceylin Ipek, and
Izem Elif Olcer in the middle three courts.
Cote will enter Friday's slate on a three-match win streak, all coming via straight sets, and has an 8-5 overall record this season. Ipek and Olcer are also on two-match winning streaks from their respected courts.
