RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis program will open a three-match home stand hosting Lipscomb on Friday and North Alabama on Sunday. Both matches will be at the Greg Adams Tennis Center on campus.
Both matches are scheduled to start at 10 a.m. ET and are free for the public to attend, free posters and donuts will be available courtesy of EKU athletics marketing while supplies last. Those not able to make Friday's match can find it streamed live on ESPN+, live stats can be found

EKU (9-16, 2-4 ASUN) has won two of its last four matches entering the weekend and currently sit seventh place in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings. Last time out, the Colonels picked up a 5-2 win over Bellarmine on the road, nearly sweeping singles over the Knights with victories on five of six courts.
Junior
Masha Fedenko won her first ASUN Conference match of the season with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Bellarmine's Ekaterina Tikhonko. She is 1-4 from the Colonels' top court this season.
On the year, junior
Marilou Cote leads the squad with a 11-11 overall record and is 2-2 against conference opponents since mid-March. Last weekend, Cote played on court four and split the weekend with a 7-6, 2-6, 0-1 (0-10) loss to Austin Peay's Luca Bohlen and 6-4, 7-5 win over BU's Reese Parker.
Scouting North Alabama
As of Thursday, North Alabama (13-3, 5-1 ASUN) sits third in the ASUN Conference standings with a 5-1 league record. However, the Lions suffered a 4-3 loss to FGCU at home last time out on March 30. Freshman Emma Ansorge leads UNA with a 12-5 record from court two while Stanislava Bobrovnikova has an 8-8 record from the top court.
Scouting Lipscomb
Lipscomb (9-6, 3-3 ASUN) will travel to Queens on Friday prior to its arrival in Richmond on Sunday. The Bisons have lost three of their last four matches entering the weekend. Junior Sofiia Paladi leads the team with a 12-2 record from the top court and is 3-2 against ASUN opponents this season.
