EKU Set For Final Weekend Home Series, Senior Day

FRIDAY'S GAME HAS BEEN MOVED TO 1 P.M. ET

RICHMOND, Ky. –
Eastern Kentucky University will play its final weekend home series of the season starting Friday against Central Arkansas.
 
The series opener will begin at 1 p.m. ET.  Saturday and Sunday's game will start at 1 p.m. ET.  Sunday's contest will air live on ESPN+.
 
Baseball Bingo returns on Friday with the first three winners winning a signed mini-bat.  Friday will also be Greek Night.  There will be a pregame tailgate and raffle prizes each inning for Greek Life members who checked in. 
 
Saturday will be Youth Sports Day which includes the final trading card giveaway and postgame autographs.
 
Sunday will be Kids Day.  All kids 12 and under receive FREE admission and get to run the bases after the game.  One child in attendance will be chosen to make the "play ball" announcement and another will be chosen to serve as the guest public address announcer.  There will also be a special Kids Day Combo which includes a hot dog, chips and a drink for $8. 
 
EKU will honor nine players during its Senior Day celebration on Sunday as well.
 
Central Arkansas is 17-25 this season and 10-11 in Atlantic Sun Conference games.  The Bears have won four of their last five league series.
 
In his last five games, EKU freshman AJ Groeneveld has hit .571 (8-for-14) with four runs scored.  He has also drawn six walks for a .700 on-base percentage during that span.
