Women’s Tennis Closes Regular Season With Road Matches at Lipscomb, MTSU

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team will close out the 2026 regular season this weekend with road matches against regional opponents Lipscomb and Middle Tennessee.

The Colonels will face Lipscomb on Friday at 2 p.m. ET in Nashville before traveling to Murfreesboro to take on Middle Tennessee on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET.

EKU (10-12) enters the weekend on a four-match winning streak dating back to March 19 with victories over Lindenwood (4-3), Belmont (4-3), Bellarmine (4-2), and Southern Indiana (4-0).

The winning streak secured the program's first 10-win season since 2018 and its first double-digit win total since the program was reinstated in 2022.

Senior Marilou Cote enters Friday's contest riding a four-match winning streak and has won seven of her last 10 singles matches while competing on courts No. 3 and No. 4. The Lévis, Quebec native has earned five straight-set victories during that stretch.

Fellow senior Masha Fedenko ranks second on the team with eight singles wins while primarily competing on court No. 2. The Ukraine native earned a comeback victory in her last outing, defeating Southern Indiana's Sofia Davidoff, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, on April 1.

Following Saturday's match against Middle Tennessee, the Colonels will turn their attention to the ASUN Championship, scheduled for April 14-18 in Fort Myers, Florida, and hosted by FGCU. EKU is projected to enter the tournament as a top-seven seed based on its current ITA ranking.

Scouting Lipscomb
Friday marks Lipscomb's regular season finale. The Bisons enter with an 11-10 overall record and have won five consecutive matches, outscoring opponents 23-3 during that stretch.

Four Lipscomb players have recorded nine or more singles victories this season, led by sophomore Serafima Bobrovnikova, who owns a team-best 12-4 record while playing on courts No. 4 and No. 5.

Scouting Middle Tennessee
Middle Tennessee (6-13) will host Western Kentucky on April 9 before welcoming EKU. The Blue Raiders have lost three of their last four Conference USA matches. Senior Zenn Lim and freshman Sthefany Lima lead MTSU with nine singles victories each.
