JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Redshirt junior Jacob Price was chosen as the Atlantic Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday.  It is the second straight week he has earned the honor.
 
The Louisville, Kentucky native earned the win on Saturday at Austin Peay.  He allowed just one run on five hits and one walk in seven innings of work.  The right-hander struck out six and held the Governors to a .200 batting average.
 
In his last two starts, Price has allowed one run in 14 innings.  He has given up nine hits and two walks while striking out 14.
 
After the victory on Saturday, Price is now 5-3 this season with a 4.97 ERA.  He is second in the conference in innings pitched (79.2), tied for ninth in strikeouts (63), ninth in wins and 10th with a .260 opposing batting average.
 
The Colonels will conclude the season with three games at Bellarmine starting Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.
