EUGENE, Ore. – Eastern Kentucky University freshman Brighter Jepchumba finished 16^th in the women's 10,000 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday night at Hayward Field.
 
Jepchumba ran 32:48.61 to earn second team All-America honors.
 
She is the second Colonel in the last two days to earn second team All-America honors. Miguel Baidal finished 9^th in the men's 10,000 meters on Wednesday night.
 
Jepchumba is the second Colonel in the last two years to claim second team All-America honors in the women's 10K. Her teammate, Edna Chelulei, finished 12^th in the race at last year's NCAA Outdoor Championships.
 
Jepchumba and Chelulei will both race in the women's 5,000 meters on Saturday night at 9:55 p.m. ET.
