Women's Tennis Falls to Austin Peay, 5-2

Senior Anais Hamel
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Host Austin Peay won the top four singles matches on the way to a 5-2 victory over the Eastern Kentucky University women’s tennis team Friday afternoon. The Colonels (10-13, 5-2 OVC) have now dropped two straight league matches.

The only Eastern points came from senior Anais Hamel (No. 5) and freshman Esmira Gheisary (No. 6).

“We didn’t play our best tennis today,” EKU head coach Rob Oertel said. “I’ve got to find the right buttons to push to help us play better.”

Eastern Kentucky will look to get back in the win column tomorrow, April 3 with a pair of matches against UT Martin and SIU Edwardsville.
