Baseball Travels To North Carolina Asheville For Three-Game Series

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Colonel baseball team will play a three game series against North Carolina Asheville this weekend. The games will start at 3 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The Colonels are 1-6 this season while UNCA holds a 1-4 record.

On Friday, Eastern's right-handed pitcher, Brent Cobb will match up against UNCA's right-handed pitcher, Ethan Steible. Cobb holds a 1-1 record with a 3.00 ERA while Steible has a 0-1 record and a 5.68 ERA.

On Saturday, EKU's lefty, Tanner Perkins, who holds a 0-1 record with a 3.00 ERA, goes up against the Bulldogs' right-handed pitcher, Dean Roland. Roland has a 1-1 record and a 7.45 ERA.

Sunday will feature Eastern freshman right-handed pitcher, Caleb Johnson and UNCA right-handed pitcher, Corey Randall, who holds a 1.80 ERA.

Johnson, who retired all seven batters he faced against South Carolina, will make his first career start on Sunday.
