RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University baseball team aims to keep its winning ways rolling as it welcomes the Chicago State Cougars to Earle Combs Stadium for a weekend series starting on Friday.
Game one will get underway at 4 p.m. Friday. Game two is set for a 2 p.m. Saturday start, and the series finale will get rolling at 1 p.m. Sunday.
The Colonels (10-8, 1-2 OVC) are coming off a mid-week two-game sweep of Alabama A&M. The EKU offense caught fire during the series, scoring 35 runs over the two games.

Ben Fisher and
Daniel McFarland led the way for EKU in the series with five hits and four RBIs each. Fisher and McFarland both homered in the series as well.
Fisher leads the team with 28 hits and 20 RBIs.
Shea Sullivan is right behind him with 26 hits and 19 RBIs. Despite missing a few games, McFarland has put up similar numbers with 23 hits, with 19 of those hits coming in the last nine games.
The Cougars (3-10) lost to No. 23 Missouri on Wednesday night, 7-6, in 13 innings.
Eastern will give the ball to junior lefty
Jack Piekos on Friday. Piekos has an Ohio Valley Conference best 1.08 ERA this season, and allowed a league low three earned runs while posting the lowest opponent batting average in the league at .153.
Aaron Ochsenbein will get the start on Saturday, and Sunday's pitcher has yet to be determined.
