RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University baseball team heads to Bowling Green to take on in-state rival Western Kentucky University on Tuesday night at Nick Denes Field.

The Colonels (22-22, 8-13 OVC) beat the Hilltoppers in a 10-inning slugfest, 16-15, on March 8 at Earle Combs Stadium.
Alex Holderbach hit a walk-off single to right field to score the winning run.

WKU (13-32, 4-17 C-USA) has wins over Jacksonville State, Belmont, Middle Tennessee State and Murray State this season.

Eastern is led by the
Ben Fisher and his 20 home runs, which are tied for first in the nation. Fisher is also tied for third in the NCAA with 55 runs.
Alex Holderbach has emerged as a powerful force in the EKU lineup with eight home runs, 39 RBIs and 51 hits this season. Newcomer
Nick Howie is also making his presence felt with seven home runs, 33 RBIs and 47 hits.
Shea Sullivan 56 hits rank second on the team, and he's got a career high six home runs as well.

Jack Piekos (3-4) will start on the mound for the Colonels. Piekos' .240 opponent batting average is the second lowest in the OVC. The junior transfer has struck out 58 batters over his 52 and a third innings on the bump this year.Â
