RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University baseball team will play its final home series of the season this weekend when it hosts the Tennessee Tech University Golden Eagles for an Ohio Valley Conference series, and the annual Senior Day festivities, at Earle Combs Stadium.

Friday's series opener is set for a 7 p.m. start. Senior Day will be Saturday, where the program's seniors will be honored before the first pitch, scheduled for 4 p.m. The series wraps up on Sunday with a 1 p.m. start for the finale.

The Colonels (23-26, 9-15 OVC) are coming off a win at Murray State last weekend, and nearly pulling off an upset against the University of Tennessee on Wednesday.

Tennessee Tech (34-16, 20-4 OVC) has series wins over Belmont, Southeast Missouri, Toledo, Bradley and a win at Vanderbilt this year.

EKU's offense is led by
Ben Fisher and his 21 home runs, which are tied for both the lead in the NCAA and the single season EKU record. Fisher is also tied for second in the nation in runs scored with 60, and tied for fourth in RBIs with 62.
Daniel McFarland ranks second on the team in batting average with .355 and third in hits with 60.
Shea Sullivan has the second most RBIs on the squad with 46, while ranking second in hits with 65, and holds the number three spot in runs scored with 42.
Alex Holderbach and
Nick Howie are tied for second on the team in home runs with eight each.

The Golden Eagles' are led by Chase Chambers' 15 home runs, 54 RBIs, 52 runs and 64 hits. Ryan Flick and his 13 home runs, 49 RBIs, 51 runs rank second on the team, while his 73 hits lead the squad.

After finishing the TTU series, Eastern hits the road to wrap up the regular season with a mid-week game at the University of Missouri, and an OVC series at Southeast Missouri.
