CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky carries a 6-game winning streak into a three-game series at Austin Peay this weekend.
Friday's series opener will begin at 4 p.m. Game two is currently scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. The series finale is set for Sunday at 2 p.m.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Austin Peay has a slight 54-52 edge in the all-time series.
- The Govs won two of three last season in Richmond on April 2-3. In EKU's 9-4 victory in game two,
Logan Thomason went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs and an RBI.
THE COLONELS
- Eastern Kentucky won its sixth straight and improved to 9-5 on the season with an 8-2 victory at Marshall on Wednesday.

Max Williams finished 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs and two RBIs against the Thundering Herd.
- The pitching staff leads the ASUN Conference with 146 strikeouts this season. The Colonels are fourth in the league in runs allowed (61) and fifth in ERA (4.31).
- As a team, Eastern Kentucky is second in the ASUN in walks drawn (67), third in doubles (28) and home runs (12), and fourth in runs (81) and hits (122).
Will King is tied for first with six doubles and fifth with 16 RBIs. Williams is second with 13 walks.

Niko Leontarakis is tied for first in the conference in wins (3) and fifth in ERA (1.50).
Rese Brown is third in strikeouts (26).
Will Brian is tied for second with four saves.

Michael Schuler will get the ball for game one, Brown is scheduled to start game two and
Rian Yates will start game three against Austin Peay. Schuler is 1-1 with an 8.10 ERA on the season. The sophomore right-hander allowed just one run on two hits in five innings against Bowling Green in his last outing. Brown is 1-1 with a 4.05 ERA. He struck out 13 in six innings and allowed one run against Bowling Green. Yates is 0-1 with a 4.97 ERA. He pitched four shutout innings and allowed four hits against Bowling Green.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Austin Peay is 6-8 overall this season and has lost six straight. Like EKU, the Governors swept Bowling Green in a three-game series this year.
- APSU has played four games against ASUN teams, beating Bellarmine and losing once to North Alabama and twice to Lipscomb.
- Jack Alexander, a senior catcher, leads the team in batting (.400), home runs (2) and RBIs (13). John Bolton, a senior shortstop, is hitting .350 with 11 runs scored.
- Austin Peay opponents are hitting .315 on the season with 21 home runs. The Govs have hit nine home runs.
- Tyler Delong has five appearances out of the bullpen with a 2.89 ERA and a 1-0 record. In nine and one-third innings the junior right-hander has struck out 11.
- Harley Gollert will start the opener for APSU. He is 1-2 this season in three starts with a 6.38 ERA. The redshirt senior left-hander has struck out 18 in 16 and two-thirds innings while allowing 12 earned runs. The starters for games two and three have not been determined.
