Women’s Basketball Honors Hacker, Mackins, Rainey, Khlopkova on Senior Day

Final Regular Season Home Contest

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball program looks to honor Emma Hacker, Marissa Mackins, Danielle Rainey, and Arina Khlopkova on Saturday, Feb. 18 during its Senior Day against Central Arkansas inside Baptist Health Arena.

Saturday's game is scheduled to tip at 2:00 p.m. with senior day festivities starting prior to the game, fans are encouraged to arrive early, tickets are available for purchase starting as low as $5.

EKU (15-12, 8-6 ASUN) prepares to face UCA (8-16, 3-10 ASUN) for the second time this season. The Colonels fell 71-51 in Conway, Ark. on Jan. 7.
 
Hacker, a four-year letterwinner from Frenchburg, Ky., has played in 93 games with 39 starts. During her time with EKU, Hacker has scored 550 points and made 83 3-pointers. Standing 6-foot-3, Emma joined the EKU career blocks top-10 list with 68 blocks.
 
Mackins, a First-Team All-ASUN selection in 2021, made her EKU debut on Dec. 8, 2022 against Northern Kentucky and has recorded 14 games with 10-or-more points since. Mackins reached 1,000 career points in a lopsided victory over Army on Dec. 18, 2022, after previous stints at Temple and North Florida where she tallied 967 points.
 
Rainey, a seventh-year graduate student from Washington, D.C., has played in over 111 games during her career, 27 of those in the maroon and white. Rainey has scored in double-figures in 17 contest this year, including a game with 30 points and the first triple-double in program history against Alice Lloyd. 
 
Khlopkova, a Moscow, Russia product, joined the EKU staff after three-year playing career at UTEP and EKU where she scored 186 total points. For her final year of school, Arina joined the staff as a student-manager where she enhances the program daily and helps develop her fellow classmates.
 
Eastern Kentucky Notes
- EKU head coach Greg Todd sits eight wins away from 300 in his career.
- Eastern Kentucky University sits inside the top-50 in the country in; assists per game (28th), free throw percentage (29th), scoring offense (33rd), made threes (per game (35th), three-point attempts per game (43rd), and assist/turnover ratio (46th).
- With 14 points against North Alabama, guard Antwainette Walker moved to 8th in program history in single season points at 520.
- Walker was selected to the 2023 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award through the National Basketball Hall of Fame and the 2023 Dawn Staley Award, recognizing the top guards in women's college basketball.
- Walker leads the ASUN in double-doubles (13), made field goals (212), points (520), points per game (20.8), rebounds (241), rebounds per game (9.6), steals (59), and steals per game (2.4).
- Point guard Alice Recanati passed legend Peggy Gay on the EKU career assists top-10 list, moving into 6thin program history with nine assists against UNA.
Ariel Kirkwood needs one block to pass 8th-place Charlotte Sizemore on the EKU career blocks list at 72.

All-Time vs. Central Arkansas
- Saturday's game is the seventh meeting between UCA and EKU and the third meeting in Richmond, the Sugar Bears lead the all-time series 4-2.
- Central Arkansas claimed the first meeting this season in Conway by a score of 71-51, Walker led EKU with 14 points and nine boards.
 
Scouting the Sugar Bears
- UCA head coach Sandra Rushing is in her 11th season with the Sugar Bears with a 184-143 (.563) record. In 34 years, she's compiled 587 wins as a head coach.
- Central Arkansas enters Saturday's game losing three of its last four contest against Liberty, North Alabama, and Bellarmine.
- One of the stingiest defenses in the ASUN, UCA only allows 60.6 points per game, which ranks 83rd in the NCAA and fifth in the conference.
- The Sugar Bears are led by sophomore Randrea Wright, who averages 10.4 points per game and scored 17 points earlier this season against EKU.
- Forward Kierra Prim leads UCA with 7.5 rebounds per game and recorded a 13-point, 15-rebound game last time out against the Colonels.
