Colonels Headed To Nashville For 3-Game Series At Lipscomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University's baseball team will travel to Nashville for a 3-game Atlantic Sun Conference series at Lipscomb this weekend.
 
The series-opener is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. ET.  Game two is set for Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.  The finale will be Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.  The first and third games of the series will air live on ESPN+.
 
THE COLONELS
-  A 12-6 loss on Tuesday to Morehead State dropped the Colonels to 7-18 on the season.  EKU is 2-4 in the ASUN.
 
-  Khaleel Pratt has hit a home run in three straight games, the final two of the North Alabama series and Tuesday's game against MSU.
 
-  Newcomer Jack Briese made his first start of the season, against Morehead State.  He allowed two runs, only one of which was earned, on two hits in three innings.
 
-  EKU is second in the ASUN with seven triples this season.
 
-  Last weekend, EKU used the starting pitching trio of Bradley Gagen, Jacob Price and Addison Stockham.  Gagen, a redshirt junior left-hander is 0-0 with a 3.97 ERA across 11 1/3 innings and four starts.  Price, a redshirt junior righty, is 2-2 with a 4.29 ERA over 35 2/3 innings.  Stockham is a junior left-hander and is 0-2 in 10 appearances, including four starts.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Lipscomb is 11-11 overall and 4-2 in ASUN games.  The Bisons have won league series at home against North Alabama and on the road at Austin Peay.  Lipscomb beat Belmont 4-1 on Tuesday.
 
-  Aaron Stelogeannis leads the team with a .403 batting average to go along with 17 runs and 11 RBIs.  Blake Carter has a team-high three home runs.  Cam Pruitt leads the team with 22 RBIs while batting .354.
 
-  Lipscomb has a .304 team batting average, which is second in the conference.  The Bisons are second in the ASUN in doubles (54).
 
-  Alexander Llinas, Landon Kiefer and Caden Shanks started on the mound last weekend for Lipscomb.  Llinas, a senior left-hander, is 0-2 with an 8.44 ERA in six starts this season.  He has struck out 25 in 21 1/3 innings.  Kiefer, a redshirt senior righty, is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA.  He has started twice in four appearances.  Shanks is a redshirt freshman right-hander and is 0-0 with a 13.50 ERA.  His made his first appearance of the season last weekend.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  Lipscomb has a 17-7 advantage in the all-time series and is 9-3 in games played in Nashville.  The Bisons have won six of the last eight against the Colonels.
 
-   Lipscomb picked up an 8-5 win in the most recent meeting, on April 27, 2025 in Nashville.  EKU cut a 5-run deficit to two, but couldn't complete the comeback.  Silas Shaffer was 1-for-5 with two RBIs.  Parks Bouck finished 2-for-4 with a run and three RBIs for Lipscomb.
