RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University baseball team will host Morehead State this weekend in a three-game conference series at Turkey Hughes Field. The Colonels (12-7, 2-1 OVC) enter the weekend fresh off a 10-7 come-from-behind victory over Marshall on Wednesday, while the Eagles (6-15, 0-3 OVC) have not played since being swept at home by Eastern Illinois last weekend.
Saturday’s doubleheader is scheduled to get underway at 12:45 p.m. First pitch for Sunday’s game is also slated for 1:00 p.m.
EKU has been propelled primarily by its offense this season. The Colonels average an OVC-best 9.4 runs per game and have compiled an impressive .346 team batting average. This explosive offensive has helped EKU win nine of its last 11 games.
