RICHMOND, Ky. – It will be a busy weekend for Eastern Kentucky University's men's and women's track and field teams as they will compete at three different meets across Friday and Saturday.
The teams will compete at the Husky Classic in Washington and Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invite across Friday and Saturday, as well as the Centre Indoor Invite on Saturday.
In Washington,
Edna Chelulei returns to action as a two-time ASUN Track Performer of the Week selection this season, competing in the invite section of the women's 5,000m.
She will look to break her own school record in the event on Saturday, which she set back in December with a time of 15:42.14.
On Friday in the Pacific Northwest,
Taha Er Raouy,
Bradley Giblin, and
Kristian Imroth will run in the men's 3,000m.
Giblin takes to the track after an impressive EKU debut two weeks ago in Louisville as the Manchester, UK native ran a 3:56.29-mile time, becoming just the third Colonel ever to run a sub four-minute mile.
In New England and Kentucky, a total of 50 other Colonels will compete over the weekend with a full breakdown of meet entries listed below.
