Hall of Fame
A four-year letterwinner who broke the Ohio Valley Conference record with nine interceptions in one season and four interceptions in one game, Buddy Pfaadt has enjoyed a stellar career in the sport of football.
Pfaadt earned OVC Defensive Player of the Year, Little All-America and served as a team captain during his senior season (1966).
He then went on to training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers and later played and coached in the Continental League with the Wheeling Ironmen from 1967-70.
Pfaadt taught and coached in Wheeling before moving to Louisville where he served as the head coach at Manual High School and Pleasure Ridge Park High School. For all of his accomplishments at the prep level, Pfaadt has been inducted into the Male High School Hall of Fame as a player, the Manual H.S. Hall of Fame as a a coach, the Athletic Director’s Hall of Fame for his prowess as a player and coach and the Coach’s Hall of Fame for his successful stints at Manual and Pleasure Ridge Park.
Pfaadt is currently working as the Dean of Students for the 12th grade at Pleasure Ridge High School.
