Hall of Fame
Charles J. Shuster lettered in four sports at Eastern and was captain of the basketball team in 1942, but it was football that he made his real mark. He lettered three seasons and was All-Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference each year. And for two seasons, 1941-42, he earned Little All-American recognition.
He scored 180 points in his collegiate career, 81 in the 1941 season alone.
From the 1942-45 Shuster served as athletic director, teacher, and coach in Kentucky and Ohio schools and worked as a salesman for the Sutcliffe Company from 1945-68. He then owned the Moutardier Resort at Horse Cave, Kentucky.
