Charmaine Byer Sizemore competed on the EKU track team for coach Rick Erdmann for four seasons (1984-88). A 1987 NCAA qualifier in the indoor 4X800 meter relay, she won the Ohio Valley Conference indoor 400 meters and the OVC outdoor meters for three years each. The current school record-holder in the outdoor 400 meters (53.46), Sizemore is also set a school record in the indoor 400 meters (56.17). She is also the current school record holder in the indoor 500 meters with a time of 1:13.90. She was also a member of six other school record relay teams, including the indoor 4X200 meters (1:41.90); the 4X800 meters (8:50.2); indoor sprint medley relay (4:00.1); the 4X55 meter shuttle hurdle (30.24); the outdoor 4X200 meters (1:37.73); and outdoor distance medley (11:22.48). The 4X55 meter indoor shuttle hurdle relay time was a world best time when it was set. She was also a member of the No. 3 ranked indoor 4X400 meter relay (3:51.06); the No. 4 ranked outdoor 4X400 meter relay (3:43.62); the No. 5 ranked outdoor 4X100 meter relay (46.19); the No. 4 ranked long jump (18-8 ¾); and the No. 5 ranked outdoor 200 meters (24.42). She was a driving force as Eastern won both the 1985 and 1986 OVC indoor and outdoor championships. She also set a conference record in 1985 for the indoor 440-yard dash, an event that has since been retired, at 56.70.
